Gucci Spring 2014

It's Milan Fashion Week for Spring 2014 so let's get started with...Gucci designed by Creative Director Frida Giannini.

The Look: sexy, relaxed "athletic" chic. Mesh T-shirts, baseball shorts, blouson-y track pants, and exposed bras. Pajama Pants, easy-breezy silk dresses.

Colors: Violet, burnt orange/terracotta coral, copper, black, raspberry. Interesting silk prints (it's Gucci, of course!).

Trends: Sheerness, athleticism, slight asymmetry, relaxed shapes, drop waist, below-the-knee dresses.

WHO WORE WHAT?.....85th Annual Academy Awards: Jennifer Garner in Gucci Premiere

Jennifer Garner in Gucci Premiere: I saw this dress from atop the "balcony" while doing my TV Guide Network 2013 Academy Awards Red Carpet Live Show. She looked fabulous from up there! I loved the maroon/violet color and especially the back detail of cascading silk organza. She not only looks like a Movie Star but the wife of a man who is about to win multiple Academy Awards. Very Regal.

And speaking of regal: THAT necklace. Lord have mercy! That is a necklace worthy of a former Empress of Iran (how "Argo" apropos!).

Gucci Premiere, in case you don't know is the Custum Gucci arm of the Gucci Brand--mainly consisting of Red Carpet gowns created just for celebrities and made almost like the Haute Couture creations of Paris.

Violet Working Woman: Gucci Fall 2013

The Look: For Fall 2013, Frida Giannini of Gucci, went dark, subversive, and UBER sexy with her collection. While her Spring 2013 Collection was all colors and Italian Riviera Diva circa 1960's, for Fall 2013, she's paler, harder, more moody, and now, has moved on to taking her Fall/Winter trips to London...or Finland. Gorgeous wools, pythons, feathers (LOTS!), lace, brocades, and satins--both shiny and matte.
